I first became interested in photography as I became a mother of two children. My son and daughter are not babies anymore but in my memory and in pictures, I have recollections of them not in stiff and posed settings but in our home where they were innocent and candid .I was able to capture personalities that only a parent sees in their child, not a photographer’s idea of them. Fortunately for me, three years ago I met Heather Bookout who inspired me to follow that path by joining Sweet Pea Photography. My previous attempts on my own were by no means professional; Heather guided me to use what I already knew with her knowledge to capture moments in time for other parents By being an on location photographer, whether at a client’s home or an outside location, I can give my clients their own memories as I try to capture their own child’s personality. As a mother, I realize what everyone told me when they were babies was true… “They will be grown before you know it.”
